Early in the morning I came into my bathroom and found this critter. I ran to get my camera, my dad and a cup. I caught him and had him for a pet for a few days. I brought him to visit Rachel in Utah and that is where he is now. It's gross, I know.

All good things must come to an end. I think not!
One my current job opportunities is about end. I really enjoyed this job, but I knew it was only going to be temporary. As I was thinking about it, the thought came to my mind that all good things must come to an end. Then immediately the divine truth replaced this thought that the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ will never come to an end. His gospel and Atonement are the best blessings that the Lord has given us, and we can experience the joys of these blessings for eternity. I know that God lives and through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can become perfect like Him and live in His presence forever. For this I am so grateful.

Opportunities to do good.
I came across this video, and thought I would share. It is very touching.
Everyone has opportunities in their lives to help others. It is our responsibility to be mindful and take advantage of these opportunities. A great ancient prophet named Alma taught that, "As ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people we must be "willing to bear one another's burdens, that they may be light;...willing to mourn with those that mourn;...and comfort those that stand in need of comfort." (Mosiah 18:8-9) This is the way that we show our love for God. I encourage you to find ways to help others in your life. The act is simple, and the blessings are large.

Trail Riding at Mount Charleston
September 22, 2011
For my birthday this year, my dad got me two passes to go trail riding. I love horses, so this was perfect for me. It is really hot around my birthday in Nevada, so I decided to wait 6 weeks. My mom and I went together. It was pleasantly cool in Mt. Charleston, and lovely change in scenery from the dry desert to lush green mountains. I rode a dark brown Percheron/Quarter Horse named Luke. It was so tall, quite possibly the biggest horse I have ever ridden. The ride was very fun! Thank you dad!
(It may seem like there are a lot of pictures of us on horse, but I chose a lot of them because of the views of the beautiful country.)

After this photo, someone told me that the gray horse almost bit me.

After the trail ride, we explored the little town in Mount Charleston. It was a great day!

On the lake again

We went to Lake Mead for a second time. This time my dad invited some neighbors that we didn't know very well. It was great to get to know them, and enjoy the water at the same time.

Actually it was mom. She was chatting on the phone on the back patio and saw a hawk fly over and land on the roof. She called me out to take pictures. It was very cool.
First time on the boat in 3 years!
September 9, 2011
We decided to take the boat out on Lake Mead. It is long over done. It's the first time my parent have taken the boat out since moving to Nevada. I am glad I was there to be a part of the event. :o)

My dad also invited a family friend, Scott Nelson. We all took a turn on the wakeboard, including Scott. It was his first time, which means...

He did have success.

And then we saw this.
He was a good sport and had great persistence to master the wakeboard. It was a great day on the lake!
