Happy Pi Day! Chris came over this morning and we made a strawberry pie, in honor of our pie day celebration. In the evening, Chris and I hiked Lone Mountain, with our pie in tow. Our plan was to hike to the top of Lone Mountain, eat our pie at the top, and then hike back down to attend Institute. The hike was really fun, with lots of bouldering and rock scrambling. When we got to the top it was approaching dusk, so we decided to climb back down while we still had some light. The view of the valley was beautiful. We ended up eating our yummy yummy in the kitchen at the Institute building. Thank goodness I put the pie in a well sealed Tupperware. The pie was spilling out of the pie pan. It was a not the pie it once was. This pie went on a journey, up and down a mountain. Still delicious though!

Yummy yummy strawberry PI! Great idea by the way! I have bought much more strawberries lately since you mentioned your PI day.

ReplyDeleteThe pie looks like it could have been amazing. I still haven't made a homemade strawberry pie and I know at one point you made a whole bunch of them. :)
