We went to Red Rock Canyon. I had never been to the visitor's center before or climbed on the actual red rocks. It was so cool. We took lots of pictures of course. I can't believe how red the rocks are. Heavenly Father is so creative to have created such an awesome world with so many diverse landscapes. Grant walked most of the way himself. He was a real trooper. I like rock scrambling and looked for the perfect opportunities to take photos. There were lots of them.

Oceans, rivers, desert sands and shifting slabs of rock have shaped and reshaped Southern Nevada. The canyon holds rock art from the native peoples who lived here for thousands of years. Later, miners came to quarry the colorful sandstone. Would a hiking trip be complete without somehow hurting myself. The injury I got when hiking in Alishan, Taiwan never fully healed. I tried to massage away the pain.
